While the app is playing a podcast, you can use your keyboard's media keys to control playback: Overcast is not available for Mac but there are plenty of alternatives that runs on macOS with similar functionality. Speaking of syncing, upon first launch your watch now has to sync with your iPhone. There’s also a new sync button in the top left of the main screen to keep your local podcasts in sync with your iPhone. It has been tested and used in production for over four years, but the interface is still a bit rough. It’s not a separate platform, and all downloads go directly to your servers.
